Samsung has unveiled its MultiView MV800 digital camera that gives users the flexibility to shoot, record and view a shot from a variety of angles thanks to its 3in wide flip-out display.
It shoots 16.1-megapixel pictures and features a 26mm wide-angle lens and 5x optical zoom. Focusing functions include TTL autofocus, Face Detection, Object Tracking and Smart Face Recognition. The camera is also packed with OIS (optical image stabilisation) and DIS (digital image stabilisation).
Samsung said that the MV800 is its first premium compact model to feature a flip-out MultiView Touch display. You can flip out the TFT LCD display to give yourself and a friend the perfect side portrait, or tilt it up and down to see what you're shooting from a low angle or find out what you're filming from above.
The lightweight and ultraslim device also comes with Samsung's Smart Touch 3.0 technology that allows user to drag and scroll through menu options to launch a required function with only one touch.
In addition, the MV800 has HD recording capabilities that can hold up to 20 minutes of footage. The device records in MP4 format at 1,280 x 720-pixels and 30 frames per second.
The camera, which also allows users to record in 3D Still and Live Panorama mode, accepts Micro SD (up to 2GB) and SDHC (32GB) cards.
The MV800 is available now at a recommended retail price of RM999.
