Android operating system 4.0, dubbed Ice Cream Sandwich, will be made available en masse through various manufacturers by early 2012.
Android fans can look forward to a new interface, enhanced contact menus, and improved keyboards.
Most significant apart from interface tweaks, is the fact that Ice Cream Sandwich unifies Android phones and Tablets allowing the same OS to run on both.
The Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime will be one of the first Tablets to get the upgrade.
