Touted as the company's next generation software platform that will power all of its future devices, it combines elements of the company's QNX software, which powers the BlackBerry PlayBook, and the BlackBerry OS software.
The new OS was supposed to be released in late 2011 but an announcement by RIM revealed it would not arrive until the second half of 2012.
