ZTE to launch first smartphone with Tegra and Icera processors

Chinese telecommunications company ZTE will be showing off at least three brand new Android smartphones during Mobile World Congress, one of which is the first smartphone to feature both a nVidia Tegra 2 processor and the (nVidia owned) Icera baseband processor together.
"The Mimosa X sets a milestone for the mobile computing industry," said Michael Rayfield, general manager of the Mobile business at nVidia.
"This is the first time that both nVidia Tegra and Icera processors are powering a smartphone. The Mimosa X brings the outstanding performance and long battery life that Tegra has quickly become known for, into the mainstream smartphone market."

The Mimosa X will run the latest version of Google's Android operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich, and will have a high quality QHD (960 x 540-pixels) capacitive touchscreen, a 5-megapixel camera and a front-facing 0.3-megapixel camera, Dolby sound, and DLNA.
While ZTE is quick to tout the Mimosa X's efficacy, there will be a bevvy of more powerful quad-core Android Ice Cream Sandwich devices on show at Mobile World Congress including the rumored Huawei Ascend D1 Q and HTC One X (aka Edge or Endeavor).
ZTE will also release two Android Ice Cream Sandwich-powered LTE 4G devices at Mobile World Congress, the PF200 and the N910.
The PF200 features a 4.3in QHD touchscreen, a 1.2GHz processor, an 8-megapixel camera on the rear, a 1080p front facing camera, DLNA and NFC. The N910 will have a 1.5GHz processor, a WVGA (800 x 480) display, a rear 5-megapixel camera, a HD 1080p front facing camera for video calling and DLNA.
The Mimosa X is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2012 but no price has been revealed. Pricing and release dates for the PF200 and N910 have not been announced. - Relaxenews 2012
