Samsung, famous for its smartphones and tablets, is always game to remind folks of its efforts in other arenas that are not as prominent but yet has the potential to be a market powerhouse. Amongst the latest development for Samsung is the Malaysian launch of its new notebook: the Samsung Series 7 CHRONOS Notebook.

Powered with the latest Intel Core i5 Quad Core, the RM3,599 Series 7 CHRONOS is the flagship follow up for the current Series 9 Notebook and has been categorised as part of its premium range.

"As we ride on the success of the Series 9 range with the new Series 7 CHRONOS, we aim to produce notebooks that not only inspire and enrich customers´ lives but also have the ability to cater to a variety of user demands and perform well in any market segments," said Kwon Jae Hoon, Managing Director of Samsung Malaysia.

So what is new within?

Besides the obvious improvements that accompany the improved CPU, such as expanded memory cache and storage space as well as enhanced video graphic performance and improved battery life, the Series 7 CHRONOS showcased some of Samsung´s proprietary innovations.

This includes the LCD manufacturer´s ´MAX Screen´ technology, which enables users to experience up to an extra inch of valuable screen space without sacrificing any shred of portability. Using this gave the Series 7 CHRONOS a 14" display in a 13" form factor.

Prakash Mallya, Country Manager for Intel Malaysia and Brunei, along with Samsung´s channel partners, were present to witness the launch of the Series 7 CHRONOS.
