Huawei unveils slimmest smartphone

The smartphone is 6.68mm thin and features a 4.3inch Super AMOLED 960 x 540-pixels touchscreen with Corning Gorilla Glass. The Ascend P1 S also comes with a dual-core 1.5GHz Cortex-A9 processor and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
Huawei also unveiled the Ascend P1 which is a part of the same smartphone series - it has the same functionality as the P1 S but it has a thickness of 7.69mm. The Ascend P1 and P1 S come with a 1670mAh and 1800mAh battery respectively.
The Ascend P1 and P1 S both have a width of 64.8mm and pack in an 8-megapixel rear-facing and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera with dual flash LED and HDR effect optimisation.
The camera can also capture 1080p HD video and comes with built-in social media capabilities to enable usesr to instantly share their photos and videos.
The Ascend P1 and P1 S will be available from April onwards. No local pricing was announced.
