Western Digital has just released a WD TV Remote application for iOS and Android that can be used to control the company's WD TV Live or WD TV Live Hub products connected to a home wireless network.

The WD TV Remote turns your Android or iOS device into a wireless controller for the WD TV Live or Live Hub and comes with a host of virtual buttons that mimic the physical controller that comes with the WD TV Live media players.

However, that's not all, as the WD TV Remote comes with a gesture pad that allows navigation of the WD TV

Live using touch gestures as well as a Qwerty keyboard for easy text entry.

The WD TV Remote app can also work with multiple WD TV media players in the home and allows you to easily select between them. The WD TV Remote is available for free in the Apple App Store or the Android Marketplace.
