CANON has unveiled its EOS 5D Mark III full-frame DSLR camera, targeted at advanced photographers and filmmakers.
The 5D Mark III boasts a full-frame 22.3-megapixel CMOS sensor that can shoot up to 6fps (frames per second). It is powered by a Digic 5+ image processor and the ISO sensitivity has been bumped up to 25,600, allowing it to take pictures with reduced noise levels in low light conditions.
It also has a responsive 61-point autofocus system, the very same system found on Canon's flagship EOS-1D X camera, for easy subject tracking.
The camera is also capable of shooting full HD movies with reduced colour artifacts and moiré in areas containing striped patterns.
It can also shoot longer - when it reaches the maximum file size of 4GB, it automatically creates a new one and continues shooting.
Plus, it can also correct chromatic aberration and lens distortion in real time and features in-camera RAW image processing.
Canon has also included new creative modes like the High Dynamic Range which combines three images shot at different exposures to form a single image that contains clear detail and tones in all areas.
The 5D Mark III will be available at the end of the month at an estimated price of RM11,500 for body only or RM15,500 with the kit lens (F24-105L IS).
