Draw Something more downloaded than Foursquare
Posted On Mar 25, 2012 at , 4:22 PM by SyahrizalOMGPOP's mobile iOS app Draw Something has been downloaded more than 20 million times since being released on Feb 12, making it more popular than three-year old Foursquare and nearly as popular as 18-month-old Instagram according to a report in BusinessInsider.com.
The popular app, which frequently tops Apple's most downloaded apps charts, combines social networking with doodling. Users can connect to friends via Facebook, the user is given three words and can choose to draw one, the image is then sent to their friends who have to guess what it is.
In a March 12 report on Businessinsider.com the company behind the app, OMGPOP, revealed that the app had been downloaded over 20 million times; according to OMGPOP chief executive officer Dan Porter the app counts celebrities such as Miley Cyrus among its fans.
The app is now, according to Businessinsider.com, more popular than Foursquare and nearly as popular as Instagram. - Relaxnews 2012
