Waiting to Ascend

Sporting a 4.5in 720p HD touchscreen, the smartphone boasts an ultra-thin frame, and lightweight compact design.
Measuring 64mm thick and 8.9mm slim, the Ascend D is powered by a K3V2 quad-core 1.2GHz/1.5GHz processor and runs the Android 4.0 operating system.
It also features an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera and offers users 1080p full HD video-capture and playback capabilities.
Multimedia capabilities are complemented by Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound and Audience earSmart voice technology.
With an 1,800mAh battery, Huawei claims the smartphone will be able to last for one to two days with normal usage, couple with Huawei Device's proprietary power management technology, which provides a longer battery life of up to 30%.
The price and availability has yet to be confirmed.
